LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Area has issued a Flood Watch for a portion of Southwest Florida, including the coastal and inland Lee County through Sunday evening.
Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches with some higher amounts will be possible over the watch area, which could exacerbate ongoing flooding along areas near the Imperial River.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
