THE WEEK AHEAD: Summer weather continues

Posted
and last updated

MONDAY:

The typical summer-like weather setup will continue for Monday. Expect a dry and mostly sunny start and hot conditions by afternoon. High temperatures are forecast to be in the low 90s, with humidity making it feel like the low 100s for a couple hours during the afternoon. Once again, we will notice storms bubbling up with the sea breeze. These will be mainly concentrated east of I-75, but coastal zones should expect to see a few downpours as well. Coverage of rain will be slightly less than on Sunday, at about 40%.

THIS WEEK:

A subtle change in our pattern will take place by Tuesday as our winds turn more onshore. This will increase our threat for overnight and morning showers, but focus the stronger storms inland and further east. Mornings will remain muggy, in the mid to upper 70s with daytime highs seasonally hot, in the low 90s expected through the rest of the week.
